Welcome
to the official website of the Historic Preservation Guild of
Hancock County, Ohio. The purpose of this organization
shall be to protect and preserve sites and structures in Hancock
County which, because of their historical, archeological or cultural
values, form a part of our historical heritage through:
- the preservation and restoration of
any sites and structures whose importance warrants such action;
- the compiling of a catalogue of
historic sites and structures within the county, and the
maintaining of a reference library;
- the advising of individuals,
organizations, businesses and public officials on the proper
techniques of preservation;
- the educating of the citizens of
the county on their historical heritage; and,
- sponsoring, or cooperating with,
activities publicizing the country's heritage.

Preservation Resource Center
A growing collection of over 200 books for and about
preserving interior and exterior of commercial and
residential properties. It is housed at the
Findlay-Hancock County Public Library. |
